Duties:Provide daily instruction as well as curriculum development as required. Successful candidates will participate in activities outside the classroom including student support and department committees.Required Qualifications:Three to five years' recent experience working in a clerical/administrative support position in an office environment. One to two years' current teaching experience in an office administration-related field in a post-secondary setting. An acceptable combination of related education and experience teaching adults may be considered.Proven ability in classroom management. Demonstrated current experience with computer applications and office procedures. Thorough working knowledge of computer applications (MS 2019 programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access). Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Demonstrated experience in meeting determined outcomes and OADM evaluation standards. A high level of energy and enthusiasm is essential. Proven positive interpersonal skills in dealing with students. Sensitivity to the needs of a wide variety of adult students returning to education. Willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a team comprised of instructors, administrators, support staff and students. For Practicum course: Must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and have a confirmed satisfactory driving record.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field from an appropriately accredited institution. Three to five years' current teaching experience directly related to office administration skills in a post-secondary setting.
