About the Position

The Centre for Trades is seeking a highly motivated, organized individual with excellent communication skills to instruct in our Electrician program. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for delivering excellent theoretical and hands-on instruction, and curriculum maintenance using Lethbridge College resources.

Position Details

• Instruct various essential portions of the program (Lecture, Lab, CBAT, Dual Credit, etc..)
• Promote the program and facilitate recruitment of students
• Manage class schedules
• Track student progress and implement interventions as needed
• Content development and ongoing updates and maintenance
• Use canvas learning management system and Mobius testing programs
• Answer and respond to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries
• Purchase of materials and equipment
• Provide reports and updates to the Associate Dean as needed
• Establish and maintain critical relationships with key partners and stakeholders
• Administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certification, with a minimum of five years\' experience in the trade
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software plus an aptitude to learn new software applications and systems
• Self-motivated and ability to work positively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous formal and/or informal teaching experience is considered an asset
• Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
• Mater Electrician Certificate is considered an asset

Salary Commensurate with education and experience according to the current Faculty Collective Agreement.
