This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).
The Department of Marketing, Business Economics, and Law at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta is inviting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Marketing, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will conduct research directed at top-tier marketing journals, take advantage of external research funding opportunities, teach in undergraduate, master's and PhD programs, supervise graduate students, and contribute to academic service commensurate with the level of appointment. The Alberta School of Business has an energetic PhD program and the successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in its continuing success and development. Proficiency in English is required.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have graduated from an accredited PhD program in marketing, with demonstrated potential to publish top-level research and achieve teaching excellence; candidates who are close to PhD completion may be considered; however, the appointment will be contingent upon the completion of the PhD by an agreed-upon date. Appointments at a more senior level (including the full professor level) may be considered depending on qualifications and experience.
Candidates with a focus on consumer behavior, some knowledge of the human-technology interface, and/or familiarity with modern analytical techniques (including AI, machine learning, etc.) will be considered an asset.
