The Bethania Group is recruiting for a Full Time (75 hrs/biweekly) Tenant Resource Coordinator serving 2 locations - 601 Osborne Street and 529 Country Club Boulevard in Winnipeg. All buildings are 55+ Independent and Assisted Living Seniors facilities.

Job Summary:
The Tenant Resource Coordinator operates within the environment of seniors housing and acts as a advocate and facilitator for the tenants. They will work to establish support networks and develop resources that will extend and maximize the tenant's independent living status and well-being. This will include assisting tenants in understanding and fulfilling their responsibilities. This position also includes providing support to the Building Manager - assisting with administrative tasks such as collecting rent payments and reviewing tenancy applications. This is a non-unionized position.
Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 education
Background in Human/Social sciences. An acceptable combination of experience, education and training may be considered
Demonstrated experience in working in a social service or housing environment with seniors or other vulnerable populations
Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle in good repair
Ability to handle a small caseload
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to read, write, and speak proficiently in the English language
Knowledge of social services theories, practices and procedures related to the provision of support to vulnerable people and populations
Must be flexible and adaptable to work effectively in a variety of settings and cross-cultural situations
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment
Effective verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex and sensitive matters with parties of differing backgrounds and interests
Problem-solving, negotiation and facilitative skills are an asset.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software
Able to work independently with established guidelines
Able to maintain records and reports related to the position and to always maintain confidentiality
Mentally and physically able to perform all duties of the position
Successful candidates are required to provide a current (within the past 12 months) Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Persons check) and an Adult Abuse Registry Check.
