Tenancy Support Service Worker
Job Description
The Tenancy Support Service Worker assists the Zaagi-Too-Wad Housing teams execute individual housing stabilization plans with community members. The Tenancy Support Service Worker is responsible for the implementation of activities related to assisting community members address hygiene and health & safety concerns using a trauma informed approach. The Tenancy Support Service Worker works in collaboration works with Zaagi-Too-Wad participants and case workers to develop individualized strategies and approaches to maintaining cleanliness, addressing pest control issues, de-cluttering, and potentially supporting individuals who may have hoarding tendencies.
Required Qualifications:
An understanding and commitment to the principles of harm reduction, Indigenous cultural resurgence, and social justice. Experience in guiding complex conversations. Knowledge of case planning, service delivery, and program planning. Strong communication and organization skills. Knowledge and/or practice of Indigenous ways of being and knowing. Lived experience as related to Sunshine House programs. (preferred)
