The Software Developer develops, codes, tests, debugs and supports new software or enhancements to existing software applications and/or interfaces supported by the hospital, the city and the region. The Software Developer also provides operational support to maintain service on current applications by working with other team members and customers to troubleshoot and resolve production problems with software. They may also be involved in application design, development, evaluation and implementation of critical business applications used throughout the hospital with direction from Business Systems and Software Analysts. This role will be focused on supporting Web development on the LHS ITS Corporate Solutions team and will work on maintenance, upgrades, and changes to the corporate Web sites, Intranets, and Web applications that we support.

Rate of Pay: $38.80 per hour - $48.49 per hour

Qualifications

Successful completion of a two-year diploma in Computer Science/Programming or related field
One (1) to three (3) years' of previous experience
Demonstrated programming and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated technical skills and data analysis skills
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle processes and standards
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages: SharePoint, JavaScript, Drupal, Perl, PHP, JSP, SQL, C/C++/C#, Objective C, Swift, Cerner CCL, Visual Basic, ASP.NET
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following Data Transport and Markup languages: HTML, CSS, Health Level 7 (HL7), X12, XML, CSV
Knowledge in one or more of the following relational database systems: Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, MSSQL, InterBase, and MS Access Knowledge in one or more of the following Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, Windows
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, team members, and non-technical staff
Ability to work independently, or under general direction, thus requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude
Ability to change directions, priorities and focus from one project to another with minimal loss of productivity or quality
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
