Reporting to the Sales Representative, the Temporary Scale Operator will provide front-line customer service to the Medicine Hat Aggregates operations. The responsibilities include tracking all materials, weighing trucks, creating orders, and assisting with administrative duties as required. This position is full time with overtime, you MUST have your own transportation. This position will have an end date of November 30, 2023.

What You Will Get to Do:

• Scale and weigh aggregate trucks.
• Enter Purchase Orders, addresses, vehicle, customer, and other required information accurately

General administration duties as required * Notify customers coming into the yard of safety hazards or yard policies where applicable

• Answer customer calls and assist customers with product selection
• Generate reports and perform data entry where necessary

Who We Are Looking For:

• High School graduate with some post secondary education
• A well-developed customer service focus and a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a challenging, team oriented and computer-based environment.
• Must be self-motivated, fast-paced, able to work independently and multi-task
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of the construction industry would be an asset
• Applicants must be able to work weekends & stat holidays when required

Work Environment:

• Role operates in a manufacturing environment both inside and outside with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
