Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) is the research institute of London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph\xe2\x80\x99s Health Care London. As one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s top ten research institutes, we are committed to furthering scientific knowledge to advance health care around the world. The Research Administrative Assistant collaborates with investigators and research team to coordinate and support day to day office activities for clinical research studies. Responsibilities for this position include and are not limited to; planning and monitoring the daily organization of the office, overall scheduling, maintaining regulatory files, patient record filing, and providing support to the team and their research responsibilities.
Rate of Pay:
To commensurate with experience Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Duration: 12 months (LOA coverage), with possiblity of extension until December 2024

Qualifications




  • Successful completion of a Health Records Clerk Certificate, Health Care Office Assistant Certificate or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the Hospital
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, TEAMs and Excel), and other corporate productivity tools
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of LHSC policies, i.e. patient confidentiality and privacy legislation
  • Proven flexibility with a high level of initiative and self-direction
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated proven attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills involving time management and prioritization
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
