We are seeking a talented and experienced Temporary Part Time Team Lead Cook to join our culinary team in Windsor, Canada. In this role, you will lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff while ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service.

Oversee and coordinate kitchen operations during assigned shifts Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality standards Plan and execute menu items in collaboration with the head chef Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed Train and mentor junior kitchen staff Assist in food preparation and cooking as required Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently


Qualifications



Proven experience as a cook with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Red Seal Certified Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines Excellent leadership and team management abilities Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development In-depth understanding of food safety principles and health regulations Valid Food Safety Certification Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure Culinary degree or diploma preferred Familiarity with local food regulations and health standards in Windsor, Canada Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
