OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW



We are looking for a temporary part-time Catering Assistant dedicated to assist in the operations of the Catering Department. This "hands-on" position will include working closely with other departments, specifically Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Accounting. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment within the Catering and Banquet Teams while maintaining member service standards. Teamwork is the key to success in providing a warm and personable experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Prepare all menus, bar signs and other printables required for events. Assist the Catering Manager and Catering Coordinators with their events as required. Participate in department meetings with the Catering team. Applies and continually broadens knowledge of events and cutting edge trends. Acts as a liaison to the kitchen/ Housekeeping/Banquets/Concierge. Sets a positive example for guest relations. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints with the assistance of the Manager. Empower employees to provide excellent customer service. Ensures employees understand expectations. Strives to improve service performance. Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement. Reviews guest satisfaction results with employees. Perform all other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS


Experience in the hospitality industry an asset Experience in sales and marketing an asset Computer Knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate superior customer service philosophy Must have a professional appearance and manner, a gracious attitude and the ability to interact with diverse groups as well as the ability to build strong relationships within the Club and Community * Will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
