Position Specific Qualifications:
Experience with laying hens and greenhouses (to support the green certificate program) would be beneficial
Experience around thinking classrooms in math, will be considered an asset
Qualifications and General Duties:
A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning
Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset

Dewberry is a hamlet in central Alberta, situated within the County of Vermilion River. It lies about 66 km northwest of Lloydminster. The community takes its name from the dewberries that naturally grow in the area. Originally incorporated as a village on January 1, 1957, Dewberry dissolved its village status on January 1 , 2021, becoming a hamlet administered by the County of Vermilion River. The settlement began taking shape in the early 1900s, with a store and post office established around 1907. Later infrastructure milestones included the construction of water and sewer systems (1964), and community facilities such as a curling rink, fire hall, arena, and senior apartments between the mid?1960s and 1990.
