East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for the position of a temporary full-time Educational Assistant at

St.

Jerome's

School

in

Vermilion,

Alberta.

The educational assistant will be supporting students from kindergarten to Grade 12. The following credentials/skills would be considered an asset for this position:


Experience working with children of all ages. Experience and willingness to work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience with adaptive communication methods. Experience offering personal care support. Experience building relationships with students who may present challenging behaviours. Capable of working in a team and collaborating with the teacher in a classroom environment.
The position starts as soon as a suitable candidate is found, and the contract will terminate on June 25, 2026. This position is subject to the ECCS-CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Support Staff Collective Agreement. Catholic and non-Catholic applicants are welcome.
