Temporary Warehouse Forklift Mechanic

Requirement:

• Responsible for the maintenance of the warehouse equipment (lift trucks, batteries, dock plates, truck latches and racking).
• Create and maintain a PM schedule that includes lift trucks and dock equipment.
• Responsible for scheduling all maintenance work in SAP and prepare work schedule for the team to effectively use their time.
• Must show strong leadership skills and drive safe behavior in the team including the development of safe works habits.
• Must be familiar with the planning and scheduling of independent work and in cooperation with other trades and/or outside contractors.
• Must ensure work performed by outside contractors is executed safely and meet our requirements.
• Will participate with the Leadership team to own and drive achievement of departmental objectives and goals.
• Must be involved in Capital planning.
• Responsible for identifying, detecting and documenting all potential maintenance repair problems on the above-mentioned equipment.
• Responsible for prioritizing identified repair problems to determine when corrective action will be required.
• Must comply with GMP\'s, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures.
• Must be cooperative and help meet departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

• Industrial mechanic or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated mechanical ability and maintenance experience preferred.
• Demonstration of strong leadership of a maintenance team is preferred.
• Must have a strong safety record.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and lead work.
• Must be a team player who champions change.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and SAP System.
