OAKLANE COLONY SCHOOL-

Oaklane Colony School is located 21 km South of Taber. Oaklane Colony School has approximately 22 students with a staff of 3.

Temporary Colony Educational Assistant - approximately 27 hours/week

Assignment Includes:

Monday - Thursday - 8:45 a.m. - 3:25 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.


We are seeking a temporary education assistant, with a start date as soon as possible and end

February 27, 2026,

or upon return of the person on leave, whichever should occur first.


The school day starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:25 on Monday to Thursday. On Friday, the school day ends at 11:40.

Ideally, candidates will:

be prepared to always demonstrate respect for Hutterite culture, traditions and beliefs



have a positive attitude about children, learning and schools



have a critical role in instruction, under the supervision of the teacher



be able to work well independently, with the teacher and the school team



provide support to students with small group instruction in the primary grades



support English as an Additional Language Learners in language acquisition (primarily in early literacy and numeracy)
