Job Description

Transdev Canada is hiring a Temporary Clerk/Dispatcher for our Vernon location.

As a Temporary Clerk/Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of administrative tasks to support daily office operations and for scheduling the HandyDART drivers routes.

As a dispatcher (2 hours/day) :

Answer client phone calls and schedule/coordinate HandyDART driver movements accordingly. Use the radio to dispatch drivers efficiently and maintain clear communication.

As a temporary clerk (4 hours/day) :

Process new employee files and submit for approval. Maintain all employee files according to company policy. Process vendor invoices for payment. Accounts payable experience. Calculate driver/staff payroll and input payroll information into the system. Receives and processes applications and schedules interviews. Answers the telephone and responds to customer inquiries. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Profile:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates leadership qualities. Excellent time management skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy - Microsoft Word, Excel ,and PowerPoint.

Location:

This is a part-time position (30 hrs/week) at our Vernon location.
