Sage Parts is the world's largest supplier of GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and airport-related equipment replacement parts with operations around the world. Sage Parts supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types and brands of GSE. Sage provides supply chain management, on site supply services, single source supply, logistics solutions, engineering solutions and other cost reduction programs.

The buyer is primarily responsible for branch purchasing activities, including parts research, supplier identification, and placing and managing supplier PO's. Ability and availability to perform all typical inventory management and warehousing and logistics functions as well as any other related or requested customer supporting requirements assigned from time to time. Should be able to fill in for parts professional. Other tasks that may be reasonably requested from time to time.

This is a temporary role intended to provide coverage for an employee leave. The expected duration is approximately six months to one year.

Job Requirements:

2 - 3 years of Purchasing experience

Strong skill set in Microsoft Word and Excel

Must fluently speak and communicate in English. Any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage

Principle Responsibilities:

Placement of purchase orders with suppliers based upon system generated requirement information

Price confirmation and expected delivery date as required

Expedite and follow up on purchase orders to improve or confirm expedited delivery dates as required by Supervisor or as Business dictates

Problems resolution for accounting and receiving discrepancies, particularly with respect to communication with suppliers' for purchase orders the Buyer placed

Creating and maintaining documentation / records of communication with the supplier

Principle Decisions:

Supplier selection where the business system allows secondary suppliers to be used

Price agreement within guidelines set by the local supervision or business policies

Problem Resolutions:

Typically problems will be brought to the attention of local supervision for guidance, except where guidelines have been set to allow the incumbent to resolve the problem.
