A leading global machinery manufacturing company seeking a
Temp - HR Generalist
to join their team and provide expert support across all HR functions to support their workforce and streamline HR processes. The Temporary HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment legislation, and maintaining accuracy and efficiency within our ADP HR and payroll systems. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, adaptable, and have strong experience in HR practices.
This is Starting as a 3 month Temp assignment.
Temp - HR Generalist Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers
Support and advise on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
Administer and process payroll and benefits using ADP Workforce Now (or relevant ADP platform)
Ensure compliance with all relevant Canadian employment laws and provincial regulations
Support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
Assist with health & safety initiatives and workplace compliance
Contribute to HR projects and process improvements as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Temp - HR Generalist Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role
In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment legislation (federal and/or provincial as applicable)
Proficiency in using ADP systems (Workforce Now preferred)
Strong understanding of HR best practices in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CHRP or CHRL designation (or in progress) is an asset
Experience with health & safety compliance in a manufacturing setting
Bilingual in English and French (if applicable)
