JOB TITLE: Prepared Foods - Temp General Labourer (12 Month Contract)

McCain Foods (Canada) - Florenceville Prepared Foods, is currently looking for Temp General Labourer to complete our team. The successful candidates will be trained in various areas of the Prepared Foods facility as general labourer. Please note that this position is physically demanding.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow JHA\'s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
Interpret mixing formulas - Weighing, Mixing and blending of ingredients to recipe.
Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area; daily housekeeping report of the area
Responsible for identification and reporting of product quality issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12 or GED required
Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
Knowledge of computer operations an asset
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to lift approximately 35-40 lbs. on a continuous basis
Ability to learn and function within different jobs in the plant
Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly
Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
Successful completion of 90 day training period
DUTIES:
Responsible for following all safety requirements.
Operates all of the equipment associated with the job assigned to
Must be capable of making minor adjustments to machines to improve Dessert quality Documentation of ingredient codes, ingredient temperatures and tracking of finished product
Responsible for timing out ingredients to ensure shift completion or change over.
Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
Responsible for some sanitation duties
Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
Must follow \xe2\x80\x9cGood Manufacturing Practices\xe2\x80\x9d (GMP\'s) and Critical Control Points (CCP\'s).
Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI\'s.
Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).
All additional duties as they become assigned.
