We are now hiring Telecommunications Tower Rigger

FOREMAN

with experience for Tower and Rooftop Cell Site installations locally and around BC. Working outdoors in all conditions; safely and productively in a team environment producing a high quality of work. Network and Technology Upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance. Travel across beautiful British Columbia all while building a career!

Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in Canada Valid Canadian driver's license is required A clean criminal background check Dependability, Honesty, Physical Stamina, Mechanical & Technical Aptitude Extensive Travel working outdoors Professional image and good communications skills

Roles & Responsibilities:



Safety:



The Supervisor must provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, as well as being accountable for the safety of the crew under his/her direction, they also must understand and be willing to accept the importance of the legal liability of the role:

Knowing and understanding the requirements of the Ministry of Labour. Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the MOL, as well as company safety policies and procedures. Lead mandatory daily? safety Tailgate meetings. Ensuring completion of initial safety and hazard assessments. Participating in safety/incident investigations. Ensuring the crew lead completes the Vehicle/Equipment checks accurately.

Leadership and Supervision:



The Supervisor coordinates the crew and consistently applies the company policies, be involved and supportive of any day-to-day disciplinary decisions:

Communicating the job with the crew. Assigning crew tasks. Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and ? ?Productivity. Applying the principles of workplace respect on site. Ensuring crew compliance with project and company policies and procedures.

?Planning and Scheduling:



The ?Supervisor is accountable for following project plans, schedules and ensuring that crew under his/her direction perform daily/weekly activities to meet production goals:

Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the crew. Collaborating with the crew to overcome work challenges. Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production.

Employee Relations:



The Supervisor must champion an inclusive employee relations culture, is accountable for the adherence to policies and procedures by the crew to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment:

Quality Control:



The Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards:

Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans. Inspecting and measuring completed work

Administration:



The Supervisor is accountable for the preparation of reports as required by the company:

Maintaining site supervisor's log & site reports. Preparation of daily production records. Reporting on work progress. Daily time keeping & reporting. Worker violation reports. Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and discipline.

Knowledge:



The Supervisor knows and understands:

Company and project safety programs. Occupational Health and Safety and environmental issues. WSIB and insurance provisions. Employment standards and company policies. How to read plans, Work Orders and RF Schematics.

Skills:



The Supervisor has the experience:

To Lead the crew. Effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good comprehension. Coach and teach crew members. Apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Manage differences and diversity at the work site. Organize and delegate work. Manage the administrative duties of the position, including completion of required documents.

Requirements:



Proficient with Working at Heights and Rigging.

Understanding and Complying with the MOL, as well as company safety policies and procedures. Able to lead others as a group to effectively complete jobs. Must be Flexible regarding hours worked and traveling. Valid Driver's license with an acceptable abstract. Knows and follows industry specifications and standards of Antenna Supporting Structures, Towers and Wireless Telecommunications Networks. Working knowledge of fall protection, Working at Heights, and High-Level Rescue. Maintain written records and computer file management. Heavy lifting, manual dexterity and proficient use of tools and equipment.
Trilinks offers a generous work out of town package which includes a $60 a day food allowance.

Pay scale will be based on experience:

Foreman: $35 to $40/hr
