Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team for an upcoming installation project commencing January 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working as a team to install, terminate, and test low-voltage network cabling and communication systems, including structured network infrastructure and related equipment. This role requires a technical background, electrical or cabling experience, hands-on work, and the ability to work safely in various environments.

Technicians must be able to collaborate with a team, follow installation standards, and accommodate an overnight work schedule (typically

10:00 PM to 7:00 AM

) as well as required travel.

All required training will be provided.



Responsibilities



Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage network and communication cabling. Mount and secure communication hardware and related equipment. Interpret basic drawings, layouts, and wiring standards to complete installations accurately. Use hand tools, power tools, and test instruments safely and effectively. Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks within scheduled timelines. Follow all company procedures, installation standards, and safety protocols. Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and materials. Travel as required and work overnight shifts based on project schedules. Operate and work from scissor lifts safely, following all safety guidelines and training.

Skills



Knowledge of low-voltage cabling and communication systems. Ability to install, terminate, and test network cabling. Competent use of hand tools, power tools, and test instruments. Ability to read and follow basic drawings, layouts, and wiring standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work safely from ladders and scissor lifts. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship. Ability to follow procedures, standards, and safety practices. Comfortable working overnight shifts and traveling when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
