Company description Glass Consulting Services is a company that provides fibre design (FTTH) services for various telecom companies in Ontario. Job description Glass is looking to hire 2-3 full-time Fibre Designers to assist us with our growing aerial and buried fibre design programs. Responsibilities:

• Plan fibre network path and equipment required to bring fibre optic services to the homes of various areas in Ontario
• Perform field visits to collect information critical to the design
• Make appropriate and cost effective design decisions for efficient construction
• Design plans on the computer using Bluebeam (PDF editor)
• Prepare appropriate Municipal Consent plans to request permission from local municipalities prior to construction
• Work in a team to improve design standards and find ways to make the design process more efficient
• Quality check design plans of teammates

Experience:

• Experience in Outside Plant Engineering is preferred.
• Experience working with AutoCAD is preferred, but not required.

Other Details:

• Salary: $60,000-$80,000
• Salary will be commensurate with experience
• A regular bonus will be awarded based on the productivity of the employee (per home designed or KM designed)
• An additional bonus will be awarded based on the company\'s success
• Laptop and two monitors to be provided by Glass
• Regular training and interaction with peers
• Occasional work-from-home
