Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Telecom Rigger / Wireless Construction Technician

with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in wireless or cell site installation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading antenna and line systems on towers and rooftop sites while adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless systems, including antennas, coax, fibre, and related equipment on tower and rooftop sites. Climb and work safely at heights using fall arrest systems and tower safety equipment. Assist in the assembly, erection, and rigging of steel structures, mounts, and platforms. Conduct cable routing, grounding, weatherproofing, and equipment testing. Read and interpret site plans, schematics, and work orders. Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards (OHSA, CSA, and internal AZ3 safety procedures). Participate in tower rescue drills and safety toolbox meetings. Maintain accurate documentation and daily reports. Support civil and electrical teams as needed for site builds and restorations. Travel to various project locations within Ontario as required.

Qualifications

Minimum

2 years

of experience in wireless or cell site installation. Valid

Working at Heights / Fall Protection

and

WHMIS

certifications. Comfortable working at heights (Fall Arrest and Tower Rescue training are strong assets). Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required. Strong attention to safety, dependability, and teamwork. Good English communication skills (verbal). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Legally authorized to work in Canada. Professional, reliable, and positive attitude.

Assets (Nice to Have)

Experience working on self-supporting or guyed towers. Current certifications in , Tower Rescue, First Aid/CPR, and RF Awareness. Experience with fibre termination, testing, or sweep testing. Basic hand tools and PPE (if available).
