Job Description

The Position



As part of the Operations team, the Technology Solutions Specialist will play a key role in supporting the planning, configuration, customization, and maintenance of the Society's core business platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

Reporting to and working closely with the IT Manager, this role actively contributes at every stage from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. In addition to platform expertise, the position brings strong data analysis capabilities, leveraging Power Query and advanced Excel to deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and insights that enable informed decision-making.

This role is suitable for a mid- to senior-level technical professional who is both hands-on and collaborative. The selected applicant will have the knowledge and attributes to provide team members with technology solutions that are reliable, efficient, secure, and aligned with the Society's strategic and operational needs.

The primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited:

Platform configuration, administration and integration within Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Power Apps, and M365.

Data analysis and reporting using Power Query, Power Pivot, Excel, and DAX.

System and user support including assisting with user accounts, permissions and access rights administration.

Continuous improvement around identifying opportunities to leverage automation, enhancing documentation, and ensuring compliance with data governance and cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications



Required



Minimum 5 years in a combined business analysis, data engineering, and systems administration.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365

Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online administration.

Hands-on expertise with Power Automate and Power Apps.

Advanced skills in Power Query and Excel (Power Pivot, DAX).

Understanding of API-based integrations and data flows.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.

Preferred



Microsoft Certifications in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 administration.

Microsoft Office Specialist Expert - Excel (or equivalent advanced Excel certification).

ITIL Foundation certification.

CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security-focused certification.

Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance and compliance.

Basic scripting in PowerShell or JavaScript for automation
