The Risk and Regulatory Technology Finance Business Analyst, accomplishes success by finding patterns across issues existing in current architecture, processes and systems and propose solutions to solve these issues strategically/ tactically depending upon the business need. To achieve this uses subject matter expertise in Risk/ Finance and Technology. Takes an objective view on the proposed solutions by project teams; e.g. BAs, business users etc. and challenge if it could be done in a better way that aligns with Firm\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and vision. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with the business/client in terms of defining the requirements of the effort as well as its applicable resources.

  • Finds patterns across issues existing in current architecture, systems and processes and propose solutions to solve these issues strategically and/or tactically depending upon the business need

  • Able to challenge the status quo and proposed solutions by stakeholders and able to think objectively to find better ways of building solutions strategically

  • Applies Finance/Risk SME knowledge and technology know how to guide the project teams in right direction for solutioning requirements submitted by Finance and Risk users

  • Documents solution architecture delta (current vs target) for proposed solutions

  • Documents data architecture delta (current vs target) for proposed solutions

  • Performs data analysis for analyzing requirements/ challenging solutions, create UML flows for documenting current state and proposing target state data/ functional flows

  • Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.

  • Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.

  • Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions.

  • Has in depth understanding of how architecture integrates within technology and has commercial awareness.

  • Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate and negotiate with external parties.

  • Performs other job duties and functions as assigned

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years relevant experience

  • Possesses good understanding of Risk/ Finance business processes

  • Possesses good understanding of financial products. Has in depth understanding of one of more financial products on Citi\xe2\x80\x99s balance sheet

  • Data analysis/ exploration and presentation skills using excel and SQL

  • Past development or data modelling experience. Should be able to code & interpret Shell/Perl or python code.

  • Management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to develop working relationships

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly

  • Experience with regulatory reporting like Fr2052, FRY-9, FRY-14 is a plus


Education:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
