Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Java Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Montreal, Quebec or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor\'s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualification :

• At least 2 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot Microservices, JPA/Hybernate,
• At least 2 years of experience in Agile. Knowledge of ceremonies.
• Relational database experience in PostGreSQL.
• Experience and knowledge of at least one of the following Document based DBs - MongoDB etc.
• Good knowledge about continuous integration tools e.g. GIT, Jenkins, ADO etc
• Additionally, knowledge of following technologies would be an advantage:
• Python, SonarQube, Kafka, Jira, Confluence, Kubernetes (or similar technology), Apigee, CloudSQL, Bigquery, GCP pubsub service, Understanding of GCP Cloud services.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
