GHD has a bilingual Human Resources graduate opportunity for our People (HR) team. This 6 month contract opportunity will be based in either of GHD\'s Vancouver / Mississauga / Whitby / Waterloo / Markham /Montreal offices. We value a collaborative, solution focused spirit and a desire to embrace new insights and fresh thinking. As a member of our People Team, we will provide you with a well-rounded, broad range of Human Resources experiences enabling you to grow into the business and human resources professional you want to be! Liaising with, and in support of, our People team, you will also have opportunities to build your networks and learn from and work with some of GHD\'s most promising professionals.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to basic HR inquiries (in-person and/or virtually) and provide general guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and managers across Canada
  • Learn GHD people software and systems and advise employees on best practices
  • Provide support to People Business Partners and People Leaders
  • Provide our employees with an excellent employee onboarding and offboarding experience
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
  • Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
  • Involved in auditing of employee files and records
  • Conduct stay, engagement and exit interviews
  • Learn GHD people software and systems and advise employees on best practices
  • Run and analyze various employee/people team reports
  • Investigate and provide informative feedback on People Listening data
  • Participate in Centers of Excellence (COEs) initiatives such as; global rewards and benefits, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development and wellness
  • Engage with Young Professionals team
For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, or related field with less than two years\' related experience post-degree
  • Fluently bilingual with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (must)
  • Outstanding MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to focus on small details and identify discrepancies or errors in data
  • Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
  • Strong sense of motivation and a thirst for knowledge
  • A creative problem-solver with a mindset to identify ways to enhance and always improve our employee experience
  • A willingness to be ready to help with tasks big or small
  • Enjoy building relationships
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • R\xc3\xa9pondre \xc3\xa0 des questions sommaires sur les ressources humaines (en personne et virtuellement) et fournir des informations g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rales sur les politiques et proc\xc3\xa9dures de RH aux employ\xc3\xa9s et employ\xc3\xa9es ainsi qu\'aux responsables dans l\'ensemble du Canada.
  • Apprendre le fonctionnement du logiciel et des syst\xc3\xa8mes de RH et conseiller les employ\xc3\xa9s et employ\xc3\xa9es sur les meilleures pratiques.
  • Soutenir les partenaires d\'affaires en ressources humaines et les directeurs et directrices des RH.
  • Fournir \xc3\xa0 notre personnel une excellente exp\xc3\xa9rience d\'accueil et de d\xc3\xa9part.
  • Maintenir \xc3\xa0 jour et assurer l\'exactitude des dossiers et des documents de RH.
  • Fournir de l\'aide pour l\'administration des politiques et proc\xc3\xa9dures de ressources humaines, incluant le recrutement, l\'accueil, la gestion du rendement et les relations de travail.
  • Contribuer \xc3\xa0 l\'audit de fichiers et de dossiers d\'employ\xc3\xa9s et employ\xc3\xa9es.

  • Participer aux initiatives des centres d\'excellence (CE) comme : les r\xc3\xa9mun\xc3\xa9rations globales et les avantages sociaux, l\'acquisition des talents, la gestion des talents, l\'apprentissage et le perfectionnement, ainsi que le bien-\xc3\xaatre.
  • Interagir avec l\'\xc3\xa9quipe des Jeunes professionnels.
Pour r\xc3\xa9ussir dans ce poste, vous devrez d\xc3\xa9tenir les aptitudes et qualifications suivantes :
  • Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe avec moins de deux ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience connexe apr\xc3\xa8s l\'obtention du dipl\xc3\xb4me.
  • Bilinguisme (excellentes habilet\xc3\xa9s en communication \xc3\xa9crite et orale en anglais et en fran\xc3\xa7ais).
  • Excellente connaissance de la suite Office de Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Grand souci du d\xc3\xa9tail, aptitude \xc3\xa0 se concentrer sur les menus d\xc3\xa9tails et \xc3\xa0 d\xc3\xa9tecter les divergences ou les erreurs dans les donn\xc3\xa9es.
  • Capacit\xc3\xa9 d\'apprendre en cours d\'emploi et de mettre en pratique la th\xc3\xa9orie.
