Responsibilities:

What your day-to-day will look like as a Geomatics Technician:

Reporting to the Geomatics Project Manager, you will be responsible for technical tasks related to the collection, processing, and analysis of geospatial data, both in the field and in the office. You will closely collaborate with the team to:

Perform geospatial surveys using GPS, total stations, and other field measurement technologies; Process, analyze, and model geospatial data using software such as

Civil 3D

,

ArcGIS

, and other specialized tools; Produce maps, plans, and graphical representations based on the collected data; Interpret geospatial analysis results and provide technical recommendations; Ensure data and deliverables are of high quality and accuracy; Assist in project management, adhering to timelines and budgets; Prepare technical reports and communicate with clients to ensure their expectations are met.

Qualifications:

What will set you apart:

Collegial or bachelor's degree in geomatics, or equivalent; 5 to 7 years of experience in geomatics, GIS, or topography (a major asset); Knowledge of geospatial data collection and surveying standards and methodologies; A background in geomatics, geography, surveying, or a related field; Proficiency in geomatics software tools (Civil 3D, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, etc.); Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team; Strong proficiency in French (spoken and written) and a solid understanding of English (preferred): Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, the ability to understand and communicate in both languages is a significant asset. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision on technical projects.
