Job Description

We are looking for a Technician, Production Support (GMP) to support our Human Health Therapeutics (HHT) research centre. The candidate would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. The NRC is building a new permanent, GMP-compliant clinical trial material facility (CTMF) at its Royalmount Avenue site in Montr\xc3\xa9al. When complete, this facility will be used to manufacture vaccine and other biologic materials for clinical trials, to support vaccine development at the clinical trial stage.

Your main responsibility is to perform classified rooms routine cleaning and routine environmental monitoring following established procedures.


You may have to support production teams for material cleaning, material sterilization, and potentially to participate into buffer/solution preparation.


Screening Criteria


Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education


Post high school degree in a technical and/or scientific field.

A combination of education and relevant experience in the maintenance and/or control of cleanroom/laboratory environments will be considered.

Experience


  • Experience in the maintenance of workplaces in the health sector (laboratory, hospital) or in the pharmaceutical industry (clean rooms)
  • Experience in biological waste management


The following will be considered an asset:
  • Experience in cleanroom environmental monitoring (use of air sampler, microbiological sampling of work surfaces)
  • Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment


Condition of Employment


  • Reliability Status
  • A flexible schedule and overtime may be required. Overtime will sometimes be required on short notice.
  • Must be able to handle/lift a charge up to 23kg.
  • Work wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and gowning for clean room.
  • Must be able to work under level 2 lab conditions.

Technical Competencies


  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and report any deviations.
  • Ability to manage time semi-autonomously to maximize productivity.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements as applied to pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical products


Behavioural Competencies

  • Technology support - Teamwork (Level 2)
  • Technology support - Results orientation (Level 2)
  • Technology support - Communication (Level 2)

Relocation


Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC\'s directives.

Compensation


From $49,298 to $69,364 per annum.
