Position Overview:
As a Technician at Adapt Mobility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services by providing technical support for the installation, repair, and maintenance of medical equipment. Your role is essential in helping clients achieve greater independence and mobility through high-quality service and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Repairs:
Diagnose and repair various types of home medical equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring they are functional and safe for client use.
Equipment Installation:
Install medical equipment in clients' homes, and vehicles following safety guidelines and proper setup procedures.
Client Interaction and Support:
Provide compassionate and professional customer service, addressing client concerns, offering troubleshooting assistance, and educating clients on equipment use and maintenance.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs, installations, and client interactions. Manage work orders and inventory using computer systems.
Travel and On-Site Service:
Travel to client locations to perform on-site repairs, installations, and assessments.
Shop Duties and Maintenance:
Assist in organizing and maintaining the workshop, managing inventory, tools, and spare parts.
Participate in training seminars and professional development opportunities.
Adherence to Safety Protocols:
Follow safety standards when performing repairs, installations, and handling equipment.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work independently or as part of a team to provide seamless service.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education or vocational training related to mechanical or electrical systems is an asset.
Experience:
Previous experience in a technical or customer service role is preferred. Experience with home medical equipment is a plus.
Skills:
Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and customer service orientation.
Physical Ability:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (over 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Other:
Valid driver's license, basic computer proficiency, and willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
