We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation systems used in industrial processes. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in industrial maintenance and automation. The Instrument Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, utilizing technical expertise to support continuous production and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems including sensors, controllers, and other automation equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues related to instrumentation using schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and technical manuals
Install new instrumentation components such as sensors, valves, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose system faults effectively
Collaborate with maintenance teams to perform preventive maintenance on CNC machinery and other manufacturing equipment
Assist in the upgrade and installation of new control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Document all maintenance activities accurately and maintain detailed records of repairs and system modifications
Support low voltage electrical work related to instrumentation systems while adhering to safety protocols
Skills
Strong background in
industrial maintenance
and
electrical experience
, particularly with
programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

CNC

Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing environments, including familiarity with sensors, valves, and control devices
Ability to read and interpret
schematics

Prior experience in
industrial electrician experience
