The Position:

As a Technical Writer you'll play a key role in crafting high-quality technical documentation that supports the safe and effective operation of custom automated systems within the nuclear sector. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate with engineering, project management, and subject matter experts to create user-focused materials such as Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Design Descriptions, and various technical publications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of precision, compliance, and clear communication.

What You'll Be Doing:

Developing technical documentation for Eclipse nuclear projects, including manuals, design descriptions, and supporting materials, tailored to highly regulated end users Synthesizing complex engineering data (drawings, schematics, BOMs, specs) into accurate, accessible written content Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across all deliverables Creating and editing illustrations using CAD models or technical photography Preparing documents for customer submission, tracking revisions, and incorporating feedback Maintaining organized document archives and ensuring compliance with Eclipse standards and customer requirements Supporting proposals with documentation estimates and contributing to continuous process improvement

What We're Looking For:

An educational background in Engineering, Robotics or a related discipline 3-5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated technical field Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to interview SMEs and translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control logic Familiarity with nuclear plant operations, maintenance procedures, tooling standards, and regulatory terminology
