Deliverables & Skillset Technical Writer
xc2xb7 Health & Safety consultant with experience with content writing and research
xc2xb7 Previous experience as technical writer with health and safety associations/boards/etc.
xc2xb7 Previous experience writing procedural documents, policies and/or communication content
xc2xb7 Previous experience developing comprehensive HIPAA compliance documentation
xc2xb7 Working knowledge of OHSA, OHS and WSIB
xc2xb7 Researching experience: marketing strategy, health & safety concepts, data analytics etc.
xc2xb7 Working in an agile environment
xc2xb7 Nice to have: Joint Health & Safety Committee Certified

Business Subject Matter Knowledge and Expertise - 25%

• Experience working in the field of occupational health and safety, with a sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations, and other relevant regulations and standards, e.g., Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and hazard assessment methodologies, including hazard identification and control
• Understanding of small business needs in Ontario, gained from experience
• Experience in developing and preparing health and safety related information content for projects, communication tools, presentations, publications and other services.
• Certification or degree in OHS or related education and experience.
• Knowledge of contentious, emerging and prevalent OHS issues.
• Experience working with regulatory enforcement authorities. (e.g. OHS inspector)

xc2xb7 Ability to develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among colleagues, internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Must Haves:
