Technical Training Manager

Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Technical Training Manager to join our team working at our Steinbach office. As the Technical Training Manager, you will oversee the execution of entry-level construction worker education programs including the development of program curriculum. Responsibilities

Develop programs and business cases to upskill workers with limited access to technical training institutions. Educate workers on construction professional opportunities, both technical and administrative. Work alongside subject matter experts to develop, administer, and facilitate technical training. Manage trainer schedules and coordinate travel as required. Conduct needs assessments for construction skill gaps and write applicable grant applications. Draft, present, and submit proposals to internal and external program stakeholders. Provide administrative support for program participants and graduates in continuing education programs. Report on program progressions and timelines. Continually update program materials to meet needs of stakeholders.
Qualifications

Understand the technical needs of construction workers.

Related post-secondary degree or diploma. PDAL or CAPM certificate would be an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 products, specifically MS Word and PowerPoint.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with employees at all levels.

Comfortable traveling occasionally to projects via plane with overnight stays.
