The Tecnical Support Agent provides first level technical support to all users of Assumption Life's IT systems. This person contributes to the maintenance and development of technology, and offer technical troubleshooting support related to operating systems, software and office tools, client-server systems, and related equipment, in order to ensure consistent productivity.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Technical support for our users by phone, Teams, or in person:
Support for equipment (computers, monitors, mobile phones, printers, etc.)
Responding to requests via tickets, emails, or phone calls
Assistance with access issues, passwords, and software
Support for Windows/Mac, Microsoft 365, and common office applications
Tracking of IT inventory (equipment, software, licenses)
Escalation of complex issues to the appropriate level
Documentation of interventions
Support for remote users (VPN, connectivity, etc.)
Compliance with IT security best practices
New software and testing:
Installation, validation, and documentation of new software, tools, and equipment
Participation in production deployment, independently or with the support team
Printers, copiers, and scanners:
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of equipment at head office
What you'll need
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English;
Diploma or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
Minimum of 2 years in a technical support or help desk role;
Certifications (an asset):
CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals;
Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and troubleshooting;
Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams;
Proficiency with Office 365;
Good knowledge of physical and virtual server environments (Hyper-V, VMware);
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory:
software used to manage a user database and create user accounts (for IT access management);
