Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology (technician). Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
2-4 years of relevant industry experience preferred. New grads welcome to apply.
Experience with hand tools and electrical testing equipment (DMM, etc.).
Comfortable with heights and climbing ladders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Able to pass a background check for government security clearance
Applicants should hold a valid passport and may be required to travel to the US for training
Experience with AutoCAD or other Computer aided design software is considered an asset.
Familiarity with lighting calculations using AGI32 or other software this is considered an asset.
Bilingualism is not essential but an asset.
NOTE: This role is approximately
50% field-based
. Applicants
must be comfortable on all construction sites
and
have a personal vehicle available all times
for travel between locations. An allowance is provided for the personal vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing technical projects from initial design to post-occupancy support.
Designing and quote lighting and shade control systems.
Providing on-site support and for light fixture and lighting control systems (hardware and software).
Commission, program, and train end-users on lighting control systems.
Managing relationships with project stakeholders (architects, electrical engineers, electrical contractors, end-users etc.).
Create submittal documents and commissioning reports.
Manage multiple projects at the same time while ensuring deadlines are not missed.
Participate in educational opportunities to develop and maintain core competency in controls and lighting knowledge.
Assist with project coordination and overall project management.
