This position is part of the Digital Collaboration team that enables and accelerates modern workplace productivity and collaboration adoption, promotes awareness and usage of digital collaboration and productivity apps and provides end-to-end support, through the delivery of modern digital experience across:

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Collaboration, the Technical Specialist(s) are responsible for ongoing operational support for new and existing SharePoint sites, Workflows, and helping overseeing Power Platform environments (which includes managing the lifecycle of the environments, ensuring best practices for security and governance, and supporting the deployment of Power Platform solutions), and other Microsoft 365 collaborative solutions and service as used across government of Nova Scotia and health.Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops and updates new and existing SharePoint sites and Power Automate.
  • Integrates Microsoft Flow/Power Automate into SharePoint.
  • Develops workflows that enhance the use of SharePoint.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain various components of Power Platform environments.
  • Ensure the overall health, security, and efficiency of the Power Platform environments.
  • Work with other team member to manage the intake process for Power Apps requests and provision access to the Power Platform environment as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Power Platform users and citizen developers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform capabilities to recommend options and best practices.
  • Contribute to the organization\'s Power Platform Centre of Excellence by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Take ownership of operational aspects, including but not limited to investigating issues, analyzing evidence, documenting recommendations with rationale, mapping processes, creating procedures and standards, coordinating efforts, and communicating thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Advise and inform Senior Management on usage trends and best practices for managing environment resources.
  • Support IT and business teams in translating client challenges into technical deliverables.
  • Support analysts during discovery workshops in understanding requirements and technical capabilities.
  • Delivers in the agile and internet-era ways of working.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you have graduated from a recognized Information Technology program; an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps and Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform components and capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, training, presentation, and public speaking.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organizational priorities and ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to research and quickly assimilate relevant new technologies, concepts, architectures, and features is essential.
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, ITIL processes, Records/Information Management and IT Security policies and procedures in Government
