Novacam Technologies Inc. designs and manufactures non-contact high-precision 3D metrology systems that are used in industrial and scientific applications across high-precision sectors including aerospace, automotive, power, defense, medical instruments, electronics, glass, and biomedical, among others. Our systems are based on low-coherence interferometry (LCI) and feature fiber-based optical scanning probes.

Job description:



This is an entry-level job.

The person hired will mainly work in the sales department at Novacam and will be dealing with potential customers. We are looking for somebody with excellent communication skills who can guide leads towards a Novacam solution that would suit their needs. The sales specialist will also need to learn to use Novacam's metrology systems and to be able to do demonstrations as well as explain the functionalities in simple terms.

We support a global customer base so the main working language with customers is English, although everybody at Novacam speaks both English and French.

Novacam, being a small dynamic company, would also allow for growth into various areas.

Responsibilities:



- Answer incoming leads (emails and phone) and distributors and follow up with potential customers.

- Be comfortable with the equipment and its usage to be able to answer technical questions.

- Recommend systems to future customers and produce quotes.

- Communicate special challenges to the engineering team and work with them towards resolution.

- Work in collaboration with the applications laboratory, which scans samples for customers, and with the marketing department.

- Occasionally perform demonstrations of Novacam's products.

- Occasionally travel to customer site or exhibition

Qualifications:



- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or another technical field

- Fluency in English and French (written and oral)

- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent organization skills

- Ability to work in a team as well as autonomy to work individually.

- Resourcefulness

- Versatility. Working in a small company allows every employee to participate in activities from various departments and, in Novacam, with applications from various fields.

Assets:

- Previous experience in metrology

- Previous experience reading/creating mechanical drawings and using CAD software

- Basic knowledge of interferometry and optics

- Experience in presenting scientific/technical ideas

- Fluency in other languages

- Driver's licence

Le/la specialiste de ventes techniques travaillera principalement dans le departement des ventes de Novacam et interagira avec des clients potentiels. Nous cherchons quelqu'un dote d'excellentes habiletes de communication, qui evaluera les aspects techniques de chaque projet et guidera les clients vers une solution adaptee a leurs besoins.

Nous avons des clients partout dans le monde, donc la langue principale de travail est l'anglais.

Responsabilites:



- Repondre aux requetes des clients et des distributeurs (courriel et telephone) et faire le suivi

- Analyser des dessins mecaniques et discuter de defis d'inspection rencontres par les compagnies

- Avoir une bonne connaissance des instruments vendus par Novacam et repondre aux questions techniques

- Recommander des systemes aux clients et generer des devis

- Communication active avec le departement d'ingenierie pour certaines applications speciales qui requierent des systemes sur mesure

- Communication active avec le laboratoire d'application

- Demonstrations et voyages occasionnels (salons professionnels, etc.)

- Communication en anglais (a l'ecrit et a l'oral)

- Excellentes habiletes de communication et d'organisation

- Capacite de travail en equipe et individuel

- Debrouillardise

- Volonte d'apprendre

Atouts:



- Experience en metrologie

- Experience avec des dessins mecaniques 2D/3D

- Connaissances des principes de base d'un interferometre

- Experience en vulgarisation scientifique

- Permis de conduire

- Parler une autre langue
