As a KPrime Technical Sales Representative, you will be part of a dynamic sales team that includes KPrime and Nanalysis Scientific Corp. In this critical sales role, you will utilize your expertise to bridge the gap between the potential customer?s needs and the products/services that KPrime and Nanalysis Scientific Corp offer that can fulfil their needs. This is mainly achieved by:
Acquiring new customers while maintaining and growing the existing installed base
Creating and updating quotations
Maintaining CRM
Sales Lead Conversions
The primary focus of this position is to utilize your expertise to sell Agilent chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions within the assigned territory ? directly managing various accounts across Manitoba, and assisting other account managers in Western Canada and parts of Eastern Canada. This opportunity will include supporting environmental service labs, refinery labs, government research facilities, university research labs, pharmaceutical and biotech labs, healthcare facilities and a wide range of analytical laboratories.
This position will be based in a home office in Winnipeg (other locations within the MB sales territory may be considered).
The Technical Sales Representative will report to the Business Manager. Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience. Compensation for this position includes a sales commission portion.
Note: You must possess a valid driver?s license and a vehicle. Some training and meetings may take place outside of Canada. Having a valid passport is desirable.
Education and Experience Sought:
Minimum ? BSc. in a science discipline (advanced degree preferred)
Hands on experience with HPLC and LC/MS would be desirable.
Experience in the lab environment would be an asset ? environmental, forensic, oil/gas or university preferred.
Very good communication skills (spoken and written)
Ability to multi-task is essential
Good follow-up skills are required
Must be able to work in a team environment
Proven ability to work with computer systems/software (ERP and CRM systems) will be strongly desirable. This position requires most of your day working with computers to be successful.
Highly organized, meticulous and methodical worker. Dealing with details and ensuring the quotes are completed accurately is a critical success factor to this position.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare sales quotations ? both budgetary and formal ? and bid proposals in conjunction with other Sales people and Sales Specialists
Update and keep current the CRM
Assist with Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry (CMS) and upfront service contract sales and help to maintain a CMS and service contract sales funnel for the assigned territory.
Develop knowledge of a sales territory that would include customers? organization, budget cycle, funding sources, applications, etc
Develop a sales coverage plan that would detail how you plan to cover the assigned sales territory to achieve the assigned sales quota
Work with other Sales people and Sales Specialists to achieve common sales quotas
Keep your sales, service and administrative personnel updated with information pertinent to them completing their roles
Gather technical information and find answers to technical questions about instrumentation for customers and other sales people
Keep current with new products and new applications
Prepare sales presentation materials
Participate and provide feedback in monthly sales forecast meetings
Be a strong proponent of a consultative selling technique
Participate in sales training ? both sales and product ? when and where necessary. This could be in your office via internet, in a KPrime location or at a manufacturing site
Participate in outbound marketing activities as necessary
Be responsible to submit all required forms (i.e.. expenses, forecasts, etc.) within the specified time windows

Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
