Technical Sales Representative - Food & Beverage
to bring our innovative hygiene monitoring and microbial testing solutions to food processing facilities. In the Technical Sales Representative role, you will deliver hands-on support, lead product demonstrations, and help quality, sanitization, and operations teams improve how they monitor and verify hygiene conditions in their facility. You will focus on building strategic relationships - identifying and engaging new customers in the industry, supporting early adoption of advanced solutions, delivering product demonstrations, and providing valuable insights to drive commercial momentum. This position offers a base salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 CAD, depending on experience, with the opportunity for increased compensation through our Sales Incentive Bonus Plan.
The ideal candidate for this role will be driven, thrive being close to food quality functions, and have strong technical expertise and industrial credibility within the Food & Beverage industry. The Applications Lead will have key responsibilities such as:Identify and engage new customers in meat, RTE, dairy, and other food sectors
Lead product demonstrations and assist transitioning customers from trial to implementation
Support QA and sanitation managers with validation, data use, and troubleshooting
Represent LuminUltra and advanced food safety and hygiene monitoring solutions at key events and industry sites
Prepare and deliver training materials on microbial solutions such as but not limited to; ATP, prepared media plates, test kits, and laboratory services
Provide insight to sales and marketing teams to sharpen our value proposition
Build a strong network of academic, influencer, and food processing contacts
Other duties, as required
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
3+ years of experience in, or working directly with, food plant QA, sanitation, program auditing, or technical lab support
Familiarity with ATP testing, environmental sampling, HACCP, and GFSI programs
Proven experience implementing new solutions or technology to a team
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and motivated
Comfortable with North American travel and remote work
