About the Role:

Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world-class product lines. Based out of our Calgary office, the successful candidate will manage an assigned territory encompassing Calgary and a portion of Southern Alberta, working with a diverse customer base that includes EPCs, OEMs, and end users.

This role is primarily focused on the Municipal, Commercial, Institutional, and Light Industrial markets, with some exposure to Oil & Gas accounts.

The customer base includes:General Construction Contractors Mechanical Contractors Engineering Firms Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) Municipalities


The Technical Sales Representative will promote a broad portfolio of products, including measurement, flow control, pressure management, and safety devices, as well as water and wastewater equipment and specialized piping solutions.

We are seeking a candidate with experience supporting customers in the Commercial, Light Industrial, Institutional, and Municipal sectors, with the ability to support select Oil & Gas accounts as required.

Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team:
Key responsibilities include: + Acting as the Account Manager for an established customer base
+ Actively pursuing new business opportunities to grow installed product market share
+ Providing technical product support and promoting Centrix service offerings
+ Delivering internal and external product seminars and presentations
+ Driving sales growth and profitability within the assigned territory
+ Liaising with principal manufacturers
+ Participating in relevant industry associations
Other contributions include: + Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote new sales + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite.
+ Ability to work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues.
+ Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
+ Ability to travel out of town and overnight as required.


Who We're Looking For:
A degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related technical diploma is preferred. Minimum two (2) years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the Municipal, Commercial, Light Industrial, and HVAC sectors; experience supporting Oil & Gas accounts is considered an asset. Previous technical sales experience is an asset. Familiarity with control valves and relief valves is highly advantageous. A clean driver's abstract and a demonstrated commitment to safety are required.
