We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our organization. This position combines technical agronomy expertise with sales responsibilities to support growers in achieving optimal crop performance. The successful candidate will deliver professional agronomic recommendations, promote company products and services, and contribute to sales growth while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and technical integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide agronomic support and technical expertise to growers with a focus on crop nutrition, crop protection, and soil management.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Promote and position company products and services to achieve established sales objectives and contribute to business growth.
Conduct regular field visits, product demonstrations, and on-farm evaluations to support agronomic recommendations and validate product performance.
Monitor crop conditions, market trends, and industry developments to ensure timely and relevant technical advice.
Collaborate with inside sales, agronomy, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, technical support, and customer interactions in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree or diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a related discipline.
Commercial Pesticide Dispensers certificate is mandatory. While certification is not required at the time of application, it must be obtained upon securing the position within 3 months of employment.
Experience in agronomy, crop advising, or ag retail is preferred. Recent graduates with a strong academic background in agronomy will also be considered.
PAg, TAg, AAg or ATAg designation - Candidates with one of these designations are preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of crop production practices, soil fertility, fertilizers, and crop protection products.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
Proven interest in combining agronomic expertise with sales responsibilities.
Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
Valid BC's driver's license and clean driving record.

Pay: From $62,000 to 68,000 per annum (based on experience)
