We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in Canada and the USA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Technical sales in the manufacturing/fabrication sector, business development, and technology sales. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the fabrication market, and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies to expand our customer base while ensuring outstanding customer service. You will also be responsible for using technical skills and attention to detail, to provide estimates for tenders and overseeing the technical components of projects that are being manufactured, and meeting with key clients to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
Duties
Accountable for production schedule review and upholding delivery commitments:
? Communicate new orders to the production team to ensure availability of supply for the customers.
? Assess the production schedule and provide accurate delivery dates for new purchase orders (P.O.s).
? If the proposed delivery dates do not align with the current production schedule, inform the Chief Operating Officer (COO) before communicating with the customer.
Accountable for project coordination and project managing ongoing projects:
? Oversee large sales projects from initiation to completion, including raising purchase orders and managing work orders.
? Collaborate with the Production Control (PC) Manager and Senior Production Controller, along with the Technical Sales Coordinator, to discuss critical details before the initial release of major projects.
? Conduct daily morning meetings to review and discuss outstanding items from the previous day to ensure timely resolution and progress tracking.
? Lead daily production meetings to prioritize order schedules based on customer preferences, material availability, and potential delays.
? In case of production issues leading to remakes or replacements, document the problem with relevant photos, inform the client, and collaborate with the COO to resolve the issue efficiently.
? Document and post NCR details in the Gmail NCR space for tracking and resolution purposes.
Accountable for paint-scheduling adjustments:
? Oversee and reschedule paint dates to optimize production efficiency and meet delivery commitments.
Accountable for Invoice verification, and approval:
? Approve Canadian and U.S. sales order invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial guidelines.
? After the shipping team reviews the invoices, verify them and obtain approval from the COO. In his absence, forward them to the accounting department with the necessary documentation.
? Review and approve transportation order quotes, ensuring they align with the original sales quotation and coordinating through the Gmail purchasing space.
Accountable for pricing and estimations:
? Assign incoming quotation requests to the appropriate salesperson based on their expertise and workload.
? Estimate costs for small purchase orders (P.O.s) and direct sales order purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with pricing strategies.
? Liaise with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for any queries or concerns related to quotations and pricing strategies.
Verify all cost estimations prepared by the Technical Sales Coordinator and Technical Sales Assistant to maintain consistency and accuracy.
Accountable for customer interactions and handing inquiries:
? Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries, ensuring prompt responses and providing relevant information to facilitate informed decision-making.
? Obtain necessary clarifications from the Production Control team and ensure timely responses to client queries.
? Ensure all clarification correspondences between customers and Yarl are saved on the server for record-keeping and future reference.
Accountable for relationship building with customers:
? Meet regularly with existing customers and prospects to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to meet surfaced needs.
? Visit clients to garner sales and make contact with architects.
? Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects and be available and responsive to customer's real-time needs.
? Prospect, identify and generate new business and generating additional business from existing customers.
Manage effective network for consistent growth and better market penetration.
Accountable for achieving sales targets:
? Ensure development and adherence to sales plans to achieve required sales targets through effective sales and business development.
? Identify business opportunities and drive profitable new business by driving and overseeing extensive cold-calling, focused email campaigns, webinars, presentations etc.
? Identify prospective clients and create the go to market plan for the identified territories.
? Showcase products and services to existing and potential clients through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
? Ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.
? Actively and successfully manage the sales process from lead generation, credentials pitch, negotiation, closure and after sales support.
Visit industry trade shows, exhibitions etc. to represent Yarl Metal, establish client relationships and drive growth.
Requirements
Proven experience in technical sales, in the fabrication and construction sector with a strong track record in business development
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
Experience in account management, demonstrating an understanding of client needs.
Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding a team towards success.
Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and adapt strategies accordingly.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining focus on sales objectives.
