This job is a technical resource to our sales and tubular products group management team. The successful candidate will be involved the documentation of technical specifications, product development, sales process, and customer support as well as serving as an industry liaison with external stakeholders.

  • Contract Review \xe2\x80\x93
  • Review customer technical specifications concerning Tubular Products Group (TPG) capability during the inquiry process and provide written feedback to the appropriate sales manager
  • Oversee the timely completion of technical issues arising from large customer development projects/programs in line pipe or Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) including: technical issues from pre-production meetings, following quality plan development activities, development of technical presentation materials and follow-up reporting of pre-production action items and tracking to completion
  • Provide technical support to our sales account managers during the order to invoice process
  • Develop and maintain a mill capability database for tracking mill production capabilities to aid sales personnel in the order-acceptance process
  • Specification development -
  • Represent EVRAZ at industry technical meetings including API, CSA, ASTM, etc. and periodically report on the state of key initiatives, participate where appropriate in \xe2\x80\x9cworking-groups\xe2\x80\x9d that involve specification revision or the development of new specifications and offer guidance to Tubular Products Group management on the future direction of the industry/customer base with respect to customer requirements
  • QMS support \xe2\x80\x93
  • Conduct QMS and technical audits of internal and supplier facilities.
  • Product Development/Marketing \xe2\x80\x93
  • Work with research and development on the requirements for prototype testing programs as they may apply to customer projects
  • Provide assistance to sales/marketing on technical publications for EVRAZ tubular products including: collect, develop, edit the technical data from the TPG technical teams, develop drafts for review prior/during the publishing phase and maintain product technical data on the EVRAZ websites (external and internal)
  • Advise customers concerning tubular product or connection choices for their applications
Requirements
  • Engineering or technical degree required, Metallurgical/Materials, Mechanical or Petroleum engineering degree, a plus
  • 5 years working experience in a manufacturing-related business, including working with customers on technical issues, experience working in mill quality assurance teams or in product development, a plus
  • Experience giving presentations to management regarding project timelines results and next steps
  • Proficient in MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing technology of tubular products
  • Familiar with well design and construction
  • Knowledge of in line pipe installation and construction methods
  • Able to work independently and effectively in interactions with internal and external customers
  • Achieve results without authority and at times by working through ambiguity
  • Proven writing technical reports summarizing key findings and identifying next steps
  • Experience writing product technical specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work with interdepartmental teams at all levels of management to accomplish tasks
