Technical Sales Consultant (Environmental) Quebec - Bilingual


(1 Permanent full-time remote position located in Quebec with preference for candidates in Montreal and the greater Montreal area)

We are looking for a Technical Sales Consultant to join our Hydrometeorology sales team to help us meet these goals both now and into the future.

What You'll Work On


Specializing in applications to monitor weather or water, as well as energy balance and greenhouse gas fluxes in a variety of applications a Technical Sales Consultant in Environmental Research works with government entities, University researchers as well as private industries and consultants. Successful team members will enjoy the chance to work with a wide variety of clients on their unique monitoring needs.
The Technical Sales Consultant role works towards building market share by understanding our products as well as current and future needs of our customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor for key stakeholders and clients, while designing solutions, performing client visits, completing bid documentation, and generating quotes. Additionally, as part of this role, you will:
Work towards meeting and exceeding sales quotas while driving profitability. Achieve client objectives while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction and trust with customers. Create and modify technical information included in marketing materials. Work on bid and tender submissions within target markets.

What We're Looking For


Completion of related post-secondary education in Science, Instrumentation or Electronics with a strong preference for a background or experience in Atmospheric Sciences, Hydrology, Soil Sciences, or Micrometeorology. 2 to 4 years of experience in technical or instrumentation sales, or experience in the areas of Hydrometeorology or Environmental monitoring. Experience with electronic remote automated measurement equipment, devices and peripherals, such as dataloggers and sensors is an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Travel to client sites and conferences is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Being fully bilingual in both French and English is required. An ability to become a technical expert in our product line. Someone driven to help our clients by seeking new solutions for them across all our relevant markets. Votre role


Specialise(e) dans les applications de surveillance meteorologique, hydrologique, ou encore les bilans d'energie et flux de gaz a effet de serre dans divers secteurs, le/la Consultant(e) Technique en Ventes en Recherche Environnementale travaille avec des entites gouvernementales, des chercheurs universitaires, des industries privees et des consultants. Les membres performants de notre equipe apprecieront l'occasion de travailler avec une clientele variee et sur des projets de surveillance uniques.
Le role de Consultant(e) Technique en Ventes vise a accroitre notre part de marche en comprenant nos produits ainsi que les besoins actuels et futurs de nos clients. Vous agirez en tant que conseiller(ere) de confiance aupres des intervenants cles et des clients, tout en concevant des solutions, effectuant des visites, preparant les soumissions et generant des devis. De plus, vous serez amene(e) a :
Atteindre et surpasser les objectifs de vente tout en maintenant la rentabilite Repondre aux objectifs des clients tout en assurant un haut niveau de satisfaction et de confiance Creer et modifier des informations techniques destinees au materiel marketing Preparer des soumissions d'appels d'offres dans les marches cibles

Profil recherche


Diplome postsecondaire dans un domaine lie a la science, l'instrumentation ou l'electronique, avec une forte preference pour une formation ou une experience en sciences atmospheriques, hydrologie, science des sols ou micrometeorologie De 2 a 4 ans d'experience en ventes techniques ou d'instruments, ou experience pertinente en hydrometeorologie ou surveillance environnementale Experience avec des equipements de mesure automatisee a distance, tels que des enregistreurs de donnees (dataloggers) et des capteurs, est un atout Une combinaison equivalente d'education et d'experience peut etre consideree Des deplacements sont requis pour visiter les clients et participer a des conferences Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite Maitrise du francais et de l'anglais, a l'oral comme a l'ecrit, est obligatoire Capacite a devenir un expert technique de notre gamme de produits Volonte de soutenir nos clients en leur proposant de nouvelles solutions dans nos differents marches Adhesion a nos valeurs ARCTIC (Responsabilite, Respect, Centre sur le client, Travail d'equipe, Innovation et Amelioration continue) Vous accordez de l'importance a travailler fort, a vous amuser et a entretenir de bonnes relations avec vos collegues
