About the role

As a Technical Publications Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising personnel and all processes related to capturing requirements, monitoring development and delivery of S1000D publications
  • Meeting quality, cost and schedule requirements for assigned projects
  • Promoting a team atmosphere focused on innovation, customer satisfaction and efficient work effort
  • Monitoring demand from customers and programs and ensuring staffing is adequate for anticipated work
  • Contributing to the development of S1000D data modules and Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETMs)
  • Troubleshooting, supporting and implementing solutions to the tools and processes used for the authoring and publishing solution.
What you bring to the role
  • Experience in S1000D authoring and knowledge of the S1000D International Specification for Technical Publications
  • Ability to communicate with a cross functional team including integrated logistics support, training and engineering subject matter experts as well as internal and external clients
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, solve problems, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Superior attention to detail, the ability to follow set procedures, and a desire for accuracy in job performance
  • Strong verbal communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearance
Additional skills desired for the role
  • Experience with HiCo Content Suite and X-Browser Pro or other S1000D Common Source Database Publishing Suite
