Position Summary
We are seeking a
Technical Project Manager
to lead project coordination and client communication for our building performance projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys working with clients, and understands the fundamentals of building performance engineering.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service.
Coordinate internal resources and workflows to meet deadlines.
Support proposal development and assist with scope definition.
Collaborate with technical team to ensure quality and compliance with codes and standards.
Track project progress and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
Manage billing and invoicing for projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in project management, managing teams, leading projects, and delivering high-quality results under deadlines.
Familiarity with building performance concepts (energy modelling, codes, sustainability).
Familiarity with Energy Codes (NECB 2020, NECB 2017, Step Code).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with project management tools.
Preferred qualifications but not required
Background in mechanical engineering, building science, or related field.
Experience with energy modelling software (e.g., IES, eQuest, OpenStudio).
Understanding of Canadian building codes and energy standards.
