An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, NS, and with a site in Mirabel, QC, we operate more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.

The

Technical Program Manager

is responsible to plan, organize, and manage the overall health and success of the assigned programs and technical/development projects. They serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, mitigating all program risks and ensuring the programs remain in scope, on budget, and within acceptable levels for other assigned metrics. They also lead the preparation of business development requirements including estimates, quotes, proposals and bids.

In this role, you will:

Manage and optimize the performance of programs and projects assigned: scope and deliverables, budget and costs, risks and contingency plans, contracts and agreements, forecast, etc. to ensure all requirements are fulfilled. Manage and collaborate with external (e.g. customers, suppliers, partners) and internal stakeholders (e.g., planning, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, infrastructure) to maintain effective communications. Create and maintain program and project plans & schedules, including determine required WBS, deliverables and milestones, identify resources needs and skills profiles to ensure expertise is available and allocated. Prepare and lead programs meetings, program reviews and design reviews, including tracking and following-up with action items Identify capital requirements, equipment needed, and facility plans to support programs both in development and during regular production. Develop new project management and system analysis tools, while capturing best practices and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement Lead the day-to-day customer liaison and problem-solving on assigned programs. Maintain internal key customer interaction points necessary to ensure multi-level contact between customer decision-makers and STELIA leadership. Participate in customer site visits, trade shows and conferences as required to manage and develop existing relations and identify new opportunities Identify and capture new opportunities and/or scope increase possibilities with existing and new customers, including direct involvement in technical bids, quotes, proposals, and other Business Development activities and events. Recommend and lead the implementation of improvement opportunities and initiatives for assigned programs and other related business functions. Track technological and industrial developments and best practices and identify opportunities for implementation at Stelia to maintain and develop technological leadership and cutting-edge developments.

Qualifications:

University degree in

Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Eligibility to achieve an engineering designation in Canada. Eligibility to achieve a PMP designation. 5-7 years demonstrated experience in Program or Project Management (integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk) preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience partnering with customers and managing complex technical programs, preferably in an aerospace or complex manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to manage geographically dispersed multifunctional teams Contractual negotiations experience and strong commercial acumen. Demonstrated experience in business risk mitigation and strong business acumen. Financial / analytical acumen Bilingual English & French is an asset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarize issues concisely and communicate with all levels in the organization. A well-developed ability to collaborate and influence others without authority. Strong decision-making skills and result-driven (safety, quality, cost, delivery) approach Proficiency in M365 applications is mandatory including on MS Project. Experience with ERP environment
