Team Profile:

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for the Firm supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of the Firm's software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications.

ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of our employees. Application and end user services are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database services.

Position Description:

The Cloud Security and Engineering team within the Technology and Operations Risk organization is currently looking for a Technical Program Manager with a background in agile delivery and software engineering to partner with cloud engineering, product, and stakeholders to deliver large-scale, cutting-edge systems to solve complex problems in the cloud.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with product and engineering on the development and execution of a portfolio roadmap to ensure a comprehensive product and service offering that creates customer value and drives growth
  • Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program and its associated initiatives. This includes leading quarterly planning sessions to coordinate and integrate the outcomes of planning across program objectives to achieve an overall aligned view
  • Manage the program through tracking, monitoring and reporting toward deliverables across multiple stakeholders; ensuring alignment with sector and enterprise program management standards
  • Work with product and stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company, being equally comfortable explaining technical analyses and recommendations to executives as well as discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers
  • Provide guidance and lead reviews at regular intervals with Cloud Security leadership to validate and assess the program
  • Contribute to maintaining a high level of engineering rigor within the team
  • Ensure Agile ceremonies for the team are being facilitated and ensure code is delivered on time and meets story acceptance criteria and definition of done
  • Coaches or engages Agile coaching when needed to assist teams in effectively applying their chosen methodology and support them on their journey of continuous improvement and measurable levels of high performance
  • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolve using network of peers and formal channels
  • Apply advanced facilitation and dependency management techniques to drive cross program and departmental planning, collaboration and coordination
  • Maintain visibility into interdependencies, taking escalations and managing outcomes to achieve business value
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and influence change at all organizational levels

The successful candidate will also possess technical domain knowledge in 1 or more of the following with the ability to facilitate system and architecture discussions, code reviews and assist with go live activities.

Hands-on coding is not and will not be required.
  • Technical domain knowledge with one major public cloud provider
  • Software development knowledge including Java, Python, Golang or Rust
  • Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and distributed databases
  • Experience with automation and CI/CD tools and practices
  • Knowledge of public cloud security practices and product offerings
  • Knowledge of authentication technologies such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or other similar workload orchestration technologies
  • Knowledge of PKI and key management
Qualifications

Overall Skillset:
  • Program Management, Process Management or Software Delivery experience
  • Experience in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major programs
  • Conversant in Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Frameworks
  • Experience working in an environment that uses Agile practices for software delivery
  • 1 or more Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach certification from an accredited Agile institution
  • Proven experience of working in complex business and technical programs using internal and external suppliers in a product environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership and business stakeholder
  • A high level of empathy and the ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of audiences, temperaments and personalities
  • Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for priorities
