We\'re looking for a Technical Producer, Mobile Productions for Remote Productions in Simcoe County.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Technical Producer for our remote productions in the Barrie and Simcoe County area. We provide dynamic, top-tier community programming to viewers in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, and Borden/Alliston. If you have solid technical knowledge and experience in mobile productions, consider joining the Rogers tv team as a Technical Producer.

We\'re looking for a team player, someone who will build relationships with colleagues, engage the local community, and help us drive viewership. The successful candidate will have the ability to make safe, smart decisions, tackle multiple projects and deliver on deadline.

What you will do\xe2\x80\xa6

Lead the technical side of our sports productions and other community events in a creative and expert manner with minimal supervision while adhering to Rogers production standards and company and regulatory policies.

Fully coordinate and implement all technical elements of production such as safe and timely delivery of proper production assets, pre-production planning, site checks, permits, crew training, technical set up and tear down, lighting, audio, technical directing, graphics, slo-mo replay, VTR, video operation and editing.

Effectively communicate with Production Engineering and Station Manager to ensure faults are reported and preventive maintenance measures are followed.

Train and coach volunteer groups and individuals in mobile operations, including participation in workshops as required.

Confirm appropriate crew requirements in timely manner in cooperation with the local volunteer coordinators.

Provide constructive feedback to crew members to ensure continual improvement and development of talents and abilities.

Book, test and confirm additional production equipment and resources as necessary.

Develop a full knowledge of existing and new production equipment on an on-going basis.

Cultivate positive relations with internal and external groups.

Perform administrative duties consistent with production such as completion of maintenance faults, driver logbooks, vehicle safety checks, etc.

Adhere to all policy and legal requirements under Health and Safety Legislation.

Professional understanding of broadcast television operations, including live sports and other current event productions.

Skilled at technical production, lighting, audio, directing and graphics.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate and train volunteers.

Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Excellent time & project management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Highly motivated and creative with the ability to meet high production standards and tight deadlines.

Experience in community television, television production or related field experience.

Class DZ license preferred however valid class G license with willingness and ability to upgrade to DZ upon recruitment will be accepted.

Excellent driving and workplace safety records required.

Very computer literate.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

Must be able and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends under Labour Canada Averaging Permit.
