CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCATED IN OR NEAR LONDON ONTARIO



As a Technical Operations Developer - you will be part of a project team and provide support to our retail customers.

Development and Automation



Develop and maintain scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.

Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Ansible.

Build automated testing and validation scripts to ensure software stability.

Deployment and Release Management

Manage application releases, including version control and rollout strategies.

Develop deployment scripts and support tools to reduce manual intervention.

Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth integration of new features.

Monitor deployment processes and resolve any issues that arise during updates.

Technical Support and Maintenance



Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.

Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues related to deployment and integration.

Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to improve efficiency.

Provide support for technical incidents, including root cause analysis and resolution.

Documentation and Collaboration



Maintain comprehensive documentation for scripts, tools, and deployment processes.

Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, network engineers and support teams to optimize operations.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain technical processes and updates.

QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION



Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

EXPERIENCE



Proven experience in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, OCI, GCP, Azure).

SKILLS



Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Excellent time management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - being able to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities - able to work with live customer environments assuring no details will be missed.

Python and Windows Batch/PowerShell are additional knowledge that would be beneficial.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



Experience with infrastructure as code.

Understanding of microservices architecture and deployment strategies.

Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices.

Experience with configuration management tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
